About Qing Lu

Dr. Lu’s research interests primarily focus on statistical genetics and statistical learning. One major area of his research involves developing innovative statistical methods (e.g., U-statistics) and AI-based approaches (e.g., kernel neural networks) for the analysis of genetic, multi-omics, single-cell, and spatial transcriptomic data. In parallel, he is interested in developing and applying new AI-based methods for the analysis of wearable device data (e.g., accelerometry data). Beyond methodological development, Dr. Lu actively collaborates with researchers across disciplines to address a broad range of biomedical and public health research questions.
